COMPANION is a contemporary slow-burn romance rooted in the rich cultures of Odisha and Bengal. Since the story revolves around characters from these backgrounds, you will come across Odia and Bengali words and conversations throughout the novel. English translations will be provided wherever necessary to ensure a smooth reading experience.
For generations, Odisha and Bengal have shared deep historical, cultural, and familial ties, making inter-cultural relationships between the two communities both natural and common. This story celebrates that beautiful connection.
The male lead, Abhinav Mishra, belongs to both Odia and Bengali heritage, while the female lead, Krishna Dash, is proudly rooted in Odia culture.
Above all, this is a story about companionship—friendship, healing, dreams, family, and finding home in another person.
